Walker open to two lane traffic

Walker between Reno and Kerr in downtown Oklahoma City is now a two-lane street. The street, which converted to two way traffic in January, includes dedicated bike lanes and on-street parking. A bicycle lane is a designated traffic lane for bicyclists, marked by a solid white line and a bicycle emblem with an arrow. These lanes can be confusing to motorists making right turns. A right turning car should move into the bike lane before the intersection. The driver should check the lane for cyclists, signal the lane merge, then merge right into the bike lane and turn when safe. Always make a right turn from the right lane.
